The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University is hiring for its Arboretum Young Scientists summer program.

 

ASSISTANT TEACHER (2 openings)

The two Assistant Teachers are core consulting team members of the AYS program which serves approximately 20 students. Each Assistant Teacher will work with a Lead Teacher and one team of 10 students. They will also work collaboratively with the other AYS staff including the Program Coordinator and other Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher.

 

LEAD TEACHER (2 openings)

The two AYS Lead Teachers are core team members of the AYS program which serves approximately 20 students. Each Lead Teacher will lead one team of 10 students, working collaboratively with the other Lead Teacher and other AYS staff including the Program Coordinator and the two Assistant Teachers.

 

PROGRAM ASSISTANT AND BUS MONITOR

The Program Assistant and Bus Monitor will accompany middle school-aged participants on bus pick up and drop offs before and after each day’s activities. In addition, you will assist the instructors for the AYS program with class activities, preparing for learning/lunch, working with the students on their daily lessons and projects, and field trips.

 

Share outdoor education and nature study with rising 7th and 8th graders from Boston Public Schools (BPS) in the five-week summer program.
