Tree Study part 2: Inside and Outside Trees

    Saturday, January 11, 2020

    9:00am - 11:30am

    Arnold Arboretum, Hunnewell Building

    FREE

This month we will go on a bark walk to appreciate the various types and functions of tree bark. Afterwards, we will make models of the inside of a tree using everyday materials to learn about phloem and xylem. Teachers will discuss ways that students can make models to enhance learning.

Resources and strategies for working with children in the outdoors will be discussed.

You need not have attended Tree Study part 1.
