CHATHAM MARCONI SEEKS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

25 Oct 2019 12:47 PM | Keith Wright (Administrator)

We are searching for our first full-time professional Executive Director, and anticipate filling the position before year’s end.  Our first full-time Executive Director will be responsible for launching a new STEM initiative and for growing the Marconi-RCA Wireless Museum.

The Executive Director will provide the dynamic leadership necessary to sustain and grow the organization, and the candidate who is selected will play a principal role in the Center’s success.  Central to the position are three interrelated elements: effective and fiscally prudent general management of the Center, direction of Marconi-RCA Wireless Museum operations, and leadership of Chatham Marconi’s STEM education programs.  The Executive Director will be responsible for overall management of the organization including programs, budget, partnerships and external relations while implementing the strategies, policies and financial goals established by the Board of Directors.

Chatham Marconi Maritime Center’s operations currently reflect the region’s seasonal business fluctuation, with most museum visits occurring in the summer/fall and STEM education activities peaking in the summer.  The Center desires to grow in a manner that reduces this seasonality.  Expansion of STEM education programs to include school-year instruction in Cape classrooms is a key near-term focus of this growth.  Longer term, as funding grows to support additional specialized STEM education and museum staff, the Executive Director’s role will commensurately evolve into general management of the Center.

Prospective candidates can find more information about Chatham Marconi Maritime Centered on our website, ChathamMarconi.org. The full Executive Director position description and instructions for applying may be directly accessed by clicking HERE.
