Seeking Science and Technology/Engineering (STE) Education Specialist
The Science and Technology/Engineering (STE) Education Specialist will support educators in teaching science in a way that is equitable and meaningful for all students. As part of the Center for Instructional Support, the Specialist will impact the lives of over one million students across Massachusetts. They will develop STE resources for teachers and districts, lead professional development, and help shape DESE’s STEM policies such as the STE Curriculum Framework and student assessment.
A strong candidate will be someone who is passionate about making sure all students have access to high-quality, culturally relevant STE education, and has experience both driving student learning as sense-makers and supporting the growth of other educators, especially at the high school level.
